Dear Dr B ~

We had a son 15 years ago and have not been able to have a baby since. After years of ovulation kits & other methods, we finally turned to medicine. I've had 2 failed IVFs & 1 failed donor egg cycle. We've spent a fortune on the cycles & donor costs and are pretty much broke.

The good news is that we have 8 frozen blastocysts, all good to high quality. The bad news is that my RE does not recognize or treat immune issues.

In my 1st failed IVF cycle with Dr S in LV, he tested me for immune issues - all came back normal except a few things, which are real whoppers!

50:1 natural state NKa = 10.8%
Hubby & I are a partial match for DQa = 4.1
Hubby & I are a partial match for HLA-C = 07
Hubby & I share DRB3

I need a doctor who recognizes & treats the above issues. I truly believe these issues have prevented me from becoming preg the last 15 years. The blastocyst in my failed DE cycle was "perfect" according to the docs, as was my lining. Yes, I know there is a chance that embryo could have been "bad" even though it looked so good. But this was a 25 yr old proven donor who managed to get 4 previous women preg on their 1st try. I refuse to transfer any more embryos until I've had these issues fully assessed & treated.

Just a couple of questions -

1. I know you can't give specific medical advice here on the board, but in "general" do you see the above immune results as being "real" issues?
2. I live in Seattle WA & my embryos are all here - I need a doc who can assess my situation & prescribe meds remotely. Would you be able to do that? Do you work with REs who simply don't recognize & understand immune issues?

Note: my RE said he would not prescribe any meds or treatment for immune issues, but that I'm free to get it done on my own through another doc. That is why I'm reaching out to you.

I'm so hopeful that after 15 years of struggling & disappointment, someone can finally help us. We are truly desperate. Thank you! D

Thank you Dr B! Yes, you already responded to this outside the forum - I had actually sent this a few days ago, but it didn't post so I thought I was unable to post in this forum. Sorry for the duplicate questions! D
