Hello

I have had 4 miscarriages, the first an natural miscarriage at 11 weeks, pregnancy symptoms disappeared at 8-9 weeks. The next 3 have all been at approx 9 weeks, i have had early scans with each of these pregnancies (concerns over spotting) and they all measuring about a week less than my dates with a good heartbeat, followed with a further scan (more spotting) a week later with no heartbeat detected.

The last one was sent for cytogenetic testing and this revealed a 69 xxx maternally derived triploid. I am wondering if the similarities between the pregnancies suggests the same cause for all the miscarriages, in which case could i have poor quality eggs. From what i have learned about triploidy growth retardation is common and also low levels of progeserone cause spotting and few pregnancy symptoms, this is consistent with all my pregnancies.

I have had all the standard tests for recurrent miscarriage, blood clotting, antiphospholipid, karyotyping, pelvic ultrasound, thrombophilia screen. Also tested for PCOS as have acne. All came back normal.

Also when i was charting my temperatures my temperatures rise slowly after ovulation, can this impact the quality of the eggs? I also spot a lot before my period (3-4 days), but i have found it very easy to become pregnant normally after 2 cycles of trying.

you have not had all the testing that I would deem necessary for these unfortunate losses. I think the triploidly was a random finding and you really need a complete "cellular" immune panel . Please call me and we can set up a free brief discussion so I can guide you to your next steps.
