Hi Dr. B.

I have have 4 fresh IVF cycles and 4 FET cycles and 3 IUI's, all with negative results. I just turned 33 last week and my husband is 35 and we have been trying for 3 years to have a baby. I have seen 4 RE's and all say everything is normal regarding my blood work and hormone levels, my lining is always great. I get great quality blastocysts but never a positive. I am in Chicago and thinking of seeing Dr. Kwak (a reproductive immunologist) and getting some immune testing done but am looking for guidance. I saw on your website G-csf and other types of treatments and was wondering if that does help patients who have never had a positive result. I read alot of your patient blogs and see most people have miscarriages but not many have mulitple failed ivf cycles. Is there anything more you can do to help figure out what could be a reason that I am not getting pregnant?

I forgot to mention I have also had a hysteroscopy and uterine biopsy which were normal. I usually retrieve around 20-25 eggs, get about 15-18 fertilized and have transfered 18 in the 8 tries I have done in the past, all of good quality. My husband has had the DNA frag test and was normal as well. He is taking some 25mg of clomid to increase his testosterone which was in the normal range but low normal.

thanks again, I am just lost into what my next steps should be.

Actually many of our patients do come to us with only failed IVF of good quality embryos. We treat this no different than having had a miscarraige. We find many times in these situations there is a strong immune component very commonly associated with strong HLA matching on many alleles. sometimes it is a translocation as well. Yes there are studies where neupogen has been very succesful in failed IVF that meet certain immunologic criteria.
Please dont despair it is very unusual we cant get a pregnancy when someone is making good qualty blasts. But this does entail going through our complete workup.
Please call the office and schedule a consult with me and I would be happy to complete this for you and recommend the best treatment.
