Hello Dr. Braverman. At 11 weeks, I just learned that I had a missed miscarriage at around 7 weeks, after seeing a heartbeat at 6.5 weeks. I knew the entire duration of the pregnancy I was having some major inflammatory responses-- major swelling, joint pain, extreme shortness of breath and skin rashes. I have been diagnosed with Hashimoto's, although my TSH is in the normal range. I am positive for ANA with a titer of 1:1260 last year and most recent one a little lower. I am also positive for cardiolipin antibodies in the medium positive range. I have had an abormal ptt, but no evidence of lupus anticoagulant. I don't have any confirmed autoimmune disorders, so doctors did not want me to do anything when I found out that I was pregnant. They also continue to say that my issues are subclinical and I am worried they will not do further testing or intervention until I have tried and failed again. This miscarriage was profoundly traumatic for me and I am terrified to try for another pregnancy when I feel so certain that this could very likely happen again. My question is this: can any intervention be taken with my issues when there haven't been recurrent losses? Would my case warrant a consultation with your clinic or do I need to try again before I do anything to intervene? Thank you for your help.

You absolutely need a consult wtih me, as with your findings your have a sigifiant risk of a reccurrent loss or late trimester complication. This can be treated effectively.
