Any chance left for me

Any chance left for me Posted on: Aug 14, 2011 at 12:49am
Dr. Braverman,
I am 40 yrs old, have had 5 successful pregnancies (all c-sections) and then the last year and half I have had 3 losses. Each loss was for a different reason I am told. --1 was at 20wks and cord around his neck. --2 19 wks went into labor, baby heartbeat stopped and my more recent --3 loss 13 weeks and no heartbeat found. This last pregnancy, I had sonogram at 6 and 8 wks and was told he measured 1 week smaller but he grew properly. At 13 wks, he measured 12 wks perfectly. I was told for all, they looked perfectly and did not look abnormal. We tried for genetic testing on each with no luck. My husband and I had genetics testing, and told no worries on us. I was tested for blood clotting disorders and no issues. This last pregnancy that ended at 13 wks, I was told I had a slightly underactive thyroid and started meds at 11 weeks into my pregnancy. I was told that even if I did not start the meds for thyroid, it would not have caused my loss. So I need to ask; where do I go from here? My specialist had me on clomid to ovulate, asprin, fish oils, extra B and folic vitamins, along with prenatle. Do I have a chance for having a healthy baby again?
Thank you..

I am very sorry for you losses and I have seen many cases such as yours. I really need to get a very detailed history from you and you both will need special testing that I am sure has not been done up to this point. Please call me so i can help you. My office will schedule a phone or in person consult for you which ever you need.
