Hi Dr Braverman

I had my first chemical in May this year after many years of failed implantation and we were devastated as we used hatching blastocysts from young donor embryos.

My cytokines were high - 43% (prior to cycle 33.4%). My specialist is suggesting 2 x 40mg Humira, 2 weeks apart. I'm not really keen on using Humira as I'm scared of any side effects. Do you recommend Humira?

My NK Cells are at 21% (May test) and treatment suggested is .5 Dexamethsone per day and IVIg twice before transfer which we can't afford as insurance wont cover it. I have low Iga at .59g/L. I'm really worried about using IVIg as my previous Doctor told me it would be too dangerous because of these my low Iga.

Thank you for your time and help. Its amazing what you do in helping us with your forum of advice.

Regards Mary

Its my pleasure to answer these questions as I know the information in such a complicated field is very limited. If you read the forum you know that I never make recommendations based on such a small amount of data. NK cells and single TH1 ratios from CD4 T cells give limited information and do not help to make a diagnosis (i.e. the reason why they are elevated in the first place) . In my experience it is far to little information to recommend Humira or IVIG. I would recommend that you fill out a consult form from my website and we can arrange a free 10 minute chat so we can discuss your case in more detail.
