Hello Dr Braverman,
I was wondering if the following cytokines could cause me to miscarry at 5 weeks, 6 days? Beta the same day as MC was 30,000 and had tripled with a doubling time of only 20 hours which as you know is usually 48-72 hours.
I believe that these cytokines were the cause as they kept increasing even with weekly IVIg (30 grams weekly) , neupogen, lovenox 80 mg qd, pred 30 mg qd, etc.TNF-A:IL-10 (CD3+CD4+)50.0IFN-G:IL-10 (CD3+CD4+)24.7
MY ANA, TSH panel numbers, etc were all normal and the only high and low NKs were%CD1919.5%CD19+CELLS,CD5+4.3Do you think HUmira can resolve cyctokine issues if this is what might have caused my miscarriage?
Thanks in advance for your help.

First think you must understand is that the "cytokine" levels you have had tested on not really free serum cytokine levels but simply intracellular cytokine ratios and the denominator of IL10 is completey wrong one to use. You see if the IL10 is low but the TNF is normal the ratio is 'high" even with normal "cytokines" . The correct way you NEED to be evaluated is to measure all of your "serum" or "free" cytokines individually so we can see where you need to be treated, then you can determine the need for a drug such as Humira which if used must be used in the correct doses(the low doses of 40mg are not effective when they are actually needed). I would be happy to assist you , feel free to fill out a consult form from the webstie and we can schedule a free 10 minute consult (I(m sure we'll go over that amount) and reivew your case. Do not give up . This could be an entierely different issue than cytokines.
