Dear Dr Braverman

I have been told I need LIT due to the following LAD levels:

IgM+ 5.%
IgG+ 8.9%
IgM+1%
IgG+5.6%

I have only had one pregnancy that ended at 6.5wks last January 2013.

I am confused. I thought my levels should be low as I have not been pregnant beyond 6.5wks? I have been told that despite this when LAD levels are above 50% then pregnancy is more likely.

Could you clarify as I don't want to have LIT if it isn't needed?

Yes a negative LAD (low levels of antibody ) are not bad in someone who has been pregnant only to 6.5 weeks. This does not in my opinion require LIT and I suspect it may actually make certain cases worse if there is already a some other problem in generating patenrnal tolerance.
