My husband and I have one natural child, easily concieved. We had another easy conception that result in a blighted ovum. We tried for another 7 months with no success and moved on to IVF. Round one was a chemical. I am currently pregnant as a result of a FET, at 5 weeks, with two good betas and after getting these tests results, very fearful of an other loss.
Here are our results
Wife Husband
DQBeta 02,02 02,06

HLA-A 01,03 01,02

HLA B 08,47 08,44

HLA C 06,07 05,07

HLA DRB1 03,07, DRB3, DRB4 Present 03,13, DRB3 Present

DQ Alpha 1.3,4.1 2.0,4.1

And here are my NK Cell Assay results:

With IVIg
T:E 1:50 7.7 With IL-2 Stim 10.3 w/IVIg 12.5 7.2
T:E 1:25 7.1 With IL-2 Stim 8.9 w/IVIg 12.5 7.1
T:E 12.5 6.9 with IL-2 Stim 5.9 w/IVIg 12.5 6.0

T;E 1:50 with IVIg 6.5 8.8
T:E 1:25 with IVIg 6.5 8.1
T:E 1:12.5 with IVIg 6.5 7.6

NK Assay with Intralipid

T:E 1:50 7.5 with IL-2 Stim 9.8 with Intralipid 1:2000 7.5
T:E 1:25 6.5 with IL-2 Stim 6.3 with Intralipid 1:2000 6.1
T:E 1:12.5 4.8 with IL-2 Stim 5.6 with Intralipid 1:2000 4.8

So I see that we have 5 partial matche, incuding this 'triad' I have heard about. And it seems my NK cells are with in the normal range, but my T:E 1:12.5 does not respond the way it is supposed to? Do you think these are real issues for us to consider and treat, and do you think our current pregnancy is at risk. I also have stage 4 endometriosis.
Thank you so much for your time and your help. I am so worried.

You have a high number of HLA matches, IVIG is a very good treatment for this, you must keep track of the immune panel, I would like to see NKT as well as thier subsets to monitor your treatment. T regs are another nice parameter to follow here.

I would be happy to follow you in your first trimester and organize these tests and treatments for you. Please feel free to call my office and they will be happy to schedule an urgent consultation for you. Good Luck.

Thank you for responding, Dr. Braverman. My husband is uncomfortable with IVIg. Could we do intralipids instead?
