Dear Dr. Braverman,
I hope you could help us interpret the significance of our test results:

NK 50:1 E:T 14.9%,
Elevated CD3+ and CD19+/CD5+

DQ-alpha: me 1.2/3.1; DH 4.1/4.1;
DQ-beta: me 03/06; DH 02/03;
HLA-A: me 02/02; DH 02/24;
HLA-B: me 35/44; DH 18/44;
HLA-C: me 04/05; DH 02/05
HLA-DRB1: me 04/15/DRB4/DRB5; DH 03/11/DRB3

I know that DQ-alpha matches are the ones causing issues. What about partial matches of the other HLAs -- is it something we should be concerned about?
We will be doing IVF with antagonist protocol (+IL, lovenox, dexamethasone) -- do we need to add anything else or make any protocol changes if the partial HLA matches are an issue?

Thanks a lot!

Dr. Braverman

DQ alpha matches are not the issue as previously thought but the number and type of HLA matches. You have 4 other matches and one that is homozygous, you also need further immune testing to decipher if this is truley immune as an NKa or 14 is not elevated.
I would be happy to help you look into all your issues, but I would need your full history to really assess what you need.
I would be happy to help you if you would like me to be involved. You can call my office and schedule a consultation and I can try and expedite this for you if you are about to start a cycle.
