New research has suggested that elevated NK cells can constrict blood flow to the Uterus. This most likely occurs secondary to the inflammatory reaction around the vessels that supply the uterus by these elevated and activated NK cells. Treatment of these elevations may increase the blood flow to the uterus and increase endometrial receptivity to to implanting embryos. We can measure these changes now by following uterine artery color doppler flow and therefore monitor one of the parameters of a successful treatment.
