HI doctor Braverman,
I had a few questions to ask you. I was a patient of yours and hope that I will soon be one again (when we have a positive pregnancy test). The testing that you ran showed that I had Factor V leiden and Compound Hetero MTHFR. I was told to be on Lovenox 40 mgs, metnax, and baby asprin. I start Lovenox since the day I ovulate and stop it if I have a negative pregnancy test and use the other meds all the time. My question was, Once a positive pregnancy test should I increase my lovenox dose? My doctor didn't want to check to see if I am on a thereputic level because I am a small girl (5' 2", 115lbs) he thought that 40 mgs was more than enough. Do you recommend that I still get tested? Also me OBGYN, even after talking to you said that once I do get pregnant he would only have me on lovenox for the first trimester!!! He doesn't feel that I am a high risk patient but I DO NOT feel comfortable getting off of the lovenox. Shouldn't I be on it during all of the pregnancy? I will confirm a pregnacy tommorow, and if I am indeed pregnant I want to be under very good care. I will call and pay the monitoring fee so that you can help me be a mom. What are your recommendations after a positive pregnacy test is reveieled?

I am from Nebraska..remember..you said you would help me double the states population !

I would most certainly continue the lovenox past 12 weeks, with all due respect to your OB/GYN you are at increased risk of thrombosis with Factor V and pregnancy. Call me after your pregnancy test, good luck.

Do you still recommend checking to see if I am at a thereputic level with the lovenox?
Should I take more than 1 tablet of metnax?

I hope to talk to you soon!!
