I'm 35. I started IVF because of my blocked fallopian tubes. My husband sperm is good, only normal forms is 2%.

My AMH is 23.6 pmol/L.My Cytogenetics tests and other tests are all normal.I did laproscopy and hysteroscopy to fix fallopian tubes( one side was fixed) and remove one polyps.

I have 3 egg collections(IVF)

1 st , 6 eggs collected( 5 mature) , IVF, first day ,no egg fertilized, from second day , 3 eggs ferilized and developed to 4 cells , then stopped development on day3.

2 nd, 3 eggs collected (2 mature) ICSI, first day, no egges fertilized too, no more check in the clinic.I was told

the polar body of my eggs were huge, abnormal.

3 rd, 6 eggs collected (4 mature) only 1 ICSI, the other 3 eggs were abnormal, I was told the egg start to devided before meet the sperm.

My doctor told me this is my genetic reason which can not be changed.

I am wondering if there is any methods can make my eggs normal? DO I still have a chance in the future IVF treatment?

Thanks for all your help.

From our embryologist

i assume patient is of advanced maternal age which is usually part of the reason for parthenogenitic eggs and abnormal digynic fertilization.

patients of advanced maternal age usually have very sensitive eggs and we usually do ICSI very gently in order to not disrupt the metaphase plate very much in order

to try to avoid digynic fertilization. there's nothing we can do about parthenogenesis.

we can give it another shot to see if we can get normal fert from her.

otherwise we always have the option of donor eggs.

Thanks for your reply.

I am only 35 ( January) and do not know why I have this outcome.

I am wondering the late fertilization (in the first IVF) is still because of the parthenogenesis? Sorry I just want to make sure whether I need another IVF(ICSI).

Thanks again.

I am a patient from Australia and my doctor(Gavin) have cooperation with you.

Thanks.
