Hi, I wanted to tell you alittle about my history. I recently in May just had my 4th miscarriage at 9wks. I had my first about 4years ago and the first two were really early, I got a positive test and then basically started my period. After my first miscarriage I was diagnosed with pcos and also found out I had insulin resistance. I was put on metformin and before my second miscarriage was taking 1000mgs at the time. After my second my ob sent me to an reproductive endrocrinologist who ended up just putting me on clomid. Well I got pregnant the first round and had an ultrasound at 6wks 3 days baby had a good heartbeat and everything looked great at that time they released me to my ob. I didnt go into my ob until I was almost 9wks and when they did the ultrasound the baby was completely gone just an empty sac. They did not know what happened had a d&c. So I ended up taking a several year break because of things going on. Then I did two round of clomid with the same doc and didnt conceive, at this time I decided I wanted a second opinion so I went to anothe RE. They did more testing on me and found that I had some blood clotting issues which I tested positive for lupus anticoagulant and c&c protein. My husband and I have had kerotyping test done to which were fine. They then sent me to a hematologist which wanted to recheck these because he said c&s was uncommon to have together. They all came back neg except for I had a pos ANA and he thought I may have lupus. Then I went to a rheumatologist I had more test run tested negative for antiphosphlipid syndrome and some other things didnt think I had lupus. Since then I have one doctor think I do and another say he was not sure so it has been a roller coaster. My new Re had me take follistim and at a pos pregnancy test take heparin which I did got pregnant first month and lost the baby at about 9wks again. I had chromosome testing done on this baby and it was normal, the sac was to small the whole time so not sure what caused that. Since then I have basically been doing researched and asked about adding prednisone in which they were not thrilled but ok with. I can not take prednisone it makes me feel awful and makes my sugar run alittle higher. Right now I have been trying dexamethasone but they only want me to take 1mg which I have not even been able to take yet. I recently had my NK cells tested and they were normal. Can things like Nk cells just elevate while pregnant? I just want to do whatever I can next time and I'am worried about not being able to take prednisone as it may but what I need. Any advice you can give would be strongly appreciated I feel very desperate. Sorry so long....I also forgot to mention that I just found out I had MTHFR not sure which so they put me on folbic and they think all I need is heparin and that, which I dont agree with. Also why do you use lovenox over heparin? I have only ever been offered heparin.

You should really call me and schedule a consultation, there are many issues that need investigation here and you should not feel hopeless. clearly no one has really understood all your issues, I am sure I can help you. I will go over all your results in detail and probably order a few more immunologic tests that have not been done. You can not look at just NK cells to determine if there is an issue. there are so many others that must be studied.

Thanks so much for responding. How do you go about working with someone in another state? I would love to have a consultation but I'am also in Huntsville, Alabama quite far away.

You simply need to call my office and schedule a telephone consultation , I can arrange for all testing where you live. After that I can coordinate all care with a local physician.
