Dr. Braveman,

I'm a 38 year old female who has been trying for 4 years now and only been pregnant 1 time and miscarried at about 9 weeks.
I've had lots of test from HSG, blood work ups, hormone level checks. Every test they did cam back fine.
I have 2 children already (16 & 14). I had my tubes tied after the last one and had the surgery reversed in 2007 so I could try with my current husband who has no children of his own. We had his sperm tested and it all came back normal.
I've taking herbs, exercised to keep my weight down, tried acupuncture, nothing seems to be working. I just need to know what I can do. I feel like I have no where to go and no one who can help me.

Hi Tracey, the most likely explanation for your difficulties is that the tubes although repaired may not be functioning optimally. However that does not explain your 9 week loss. this could be a secondary immune,thrombophilia(blood clotting) or even genetics. I would be happy to review this case with you if you want.
