Hi Dr. Braverman,
I have Hashimoto's thyroiditis (elevated anti TPO antibodies). My husband and I have been trying to conceive for about a year, were diagnosed with unexplained infertility, and we just had our first failed IUI. I have never been pregnant and all the standard tests show that my husband and I should be able to conceive. I'm concerned there may be other immune issues going on that are preventing me from becoming pregnant. At what point would you recommend pursuing immunology testing, and how much does it typically cost patients who don't have infertility coverage? Also, do you work/coordinate with any doctors or clinics in the Seattle, WA area?

Thanks for your time!

Dr. Braverman

Go to the endometriosis page on my website and look at my lecture on "silent endometriosis" that I gave at the endometriosis foundation of America meeting. Hashimotos is closely associated gentically to endomtriosis and you very likely have both . Fill out a consult form on my website and we will contact you to discuss your case (its a free 10 minute chat) .
