Hi, Dr. Braverman. Happy New Year! I turn to you as I don't think my RE in California has adequately explained the results of my NK Panel testing. Just a little background on me. I'm 40. I have a 3 year old (natural and easy conception). Since she was 9 months old, I've had 2 miscarriages and 2 chemicals. My last m/c was in March - trisomy 9. As a result, we did IVF with PGS testing. We transferred our only normal embryo and it failed to implant. Then I did the NK panel. Here are the results.

%CD56 12.8
%CD19+cellsCD5+ 1.7

TNF-a:IL-10 51.9
IFN-g-:IL-10 29.6

I also had my thyroid antibodies tested and the results are 1.3.

What do these results mean?

Is it possible for me to treat this issue and then do IUI? We can't afford another round of IVF.

Thanks so much for your help!

although the information is very limited , there appears to be a signiciant inflammatory response based on the cytokine levels. This can be treated and does not require IVF, but you would need a more detaied analysis to determine the reason for the flare. The NK levels by theimselves are not of concern.
