high cytokines - newly diagnosed Posted on: Nov 10, 2011 at 8:58pm
I recently had a series of immune tests done and the most notable finding was high cytokines. I am 35 years old and have been trying to conceive for 4 years. I have a history of high fsh (as high as 62) that is intermittently normal as well and still have regular periods. I had one pregnancy last year that resulted in a miscarriage at 6 weeks with excellent hormone throughout that particular cycle. My TNF: IL value is 46.9 and my IFN:IL10 value is 25.2. My NK assay follow up panel was normal except CD56 was borderline at 11.9 and CD19CD5 was 22.2 (all done at RFU lab). I have also had LUFS for about a year which HCG is unable to help with. Do you think LUFS could be related to the high cytokines? Also, what would your recommended course of treatment be to treat the high cytokines? IVIG? Humira? I am trying naturally so IVIG can get quite costly if we have to do it every month. But, I will try anything if it could work. Thank you for your time and input.

on a natural cycle I agree IVIG is too costly , prednisone is best , quick action with good results then you need to follow the cytokines to adjust the dose. I would be happy to guide you with this. Feel free to call my office to schedule a consltation.
