Since I've read that fish oil can help naturally reduce NK cells, how much do you feel is safe for your patients to take during pregnancy? 1200mg? Is 3600mg too much? That's what many fish oil bottles recommend for adults, but how much pregnant women should take has always been a bit unclear.

Can 3600mg cause any damage to the baby?

Thank You!

are your NK cells elevated? If so how high? I would only take if that is the case.

Hi Dr Braverman,
Unfortunately, I do not currently have an immune doctor willing to check any immune testing. In the past, after my 3rd loss, I was able to get Dr Sher to run some tests for me and my NK cells came back borderline at 11.1%. But I've always wondered how high they might get during a pregnancy. I'm currently 17w4d pregnant. I've been dx with lupus anticoagulant so I am one lovenox twice daily. Perhaps NK cells are no longer an issue at 17+ week pregnant?

yes I agree not an issue that late and you are on the correct treatment at this point with lovenox twice daily.
