Dear Dr. Braverman,
Thank you for making this forum available.

I have mild asthma/allergies to pollen, trees, grass and some animals and I was recently diagnosed with IBS. Would either of these things impeded my changes of getting pregnant and holding a pregnancy?

Thank you for your help.

Allergies can activate Mast cells to produce histamine and hgh levels can interfere with implantation. We have used Claritan in these cases(but only with a signicant history) as treatment without these issues can impair implantion. high IGE levels have been shown to reverse the protective effect on "immature" dendritic cells.
