Hi Dr. Braverman, just wondering if you could point me in the right direction. I had an undiagnosed inflammatory arthropathy for about 13 years. Last year I was officially diagnosed when I needed both hips replaced. I was diagnosed with a spondyloarthropathy that we are treating as RA. I had a slight positive ANA, elevated ESR and sed rate, iron deficiency, slightly enlarged thyroid, and am HLAB27 positive. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for almost 20 months (taking time off when I needed surgery) and nothing. I'm currently taking Plaquenil and Humira injections (for the last two months) and am scheduled to start my first IUI soon. I was diagnosed by my RE with diminished ovarian reserve as my day 3 FSH was 9.9, Estradoil 88, normal TSH, and AMH .853. I also had an ultrasound with him where he found my right ovary is a little small, and was follicle count was a little low. Our last natural cycle this month I thought was it about 7dpo- I had left side twinges and stretchy feelings in my uterus that I never had before. I just have a gut feeling it's my immune system that will not allow me to conceive and am worried to go through with a lot of IUI and IVF procedures just to endure more heartbreak. I was also thinking of asking to add prednisone to my treatment? Unfortunately I do not have any RI's in my area and was wondering if you think I could benefit from RI or proceeding with RE. Thank you

YOurs is a case that should only be handled by our group, just adding prednisone without knowing what is happening with your immune system is not correct. Please fill out a consult request on my website and we will schedule a free consult to review your case in detail.
