Dear Dr. Braverman, do you think that Omegaven Infusions have the Same Action like Intralipid or could Even be better?

100 ml Omegaven contains

refined fish oil containing: 10,0 gEicosapentaenoic acid (EPA): 1.25-2.82Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA): 1.44-3.09dl-α-tocopherol (as antioxidant):0.015- 0.029

and glycerol, egg lecitin and water

I Know that only 50 ml are given for One Infusion every week

I have Hashimoto, ANA 1:80, Vit D deficiency and uterine activated killer Cells (cd57) Mesured by uterine biopsy on cd 21. One Doc prescribed me Intralipid, Prednisolone and Clexane 40 and the other doc prescribe Omegaven and Pred because be said that Omegaven Acts More better then Intralipid. He said that with Intralipid the Body has First to convert for building EPA.
If Omegaven is really better for supress the immune system, what is the reason that all Docs in America use Intralipid?

Do you think that Omegaven 50 ml along with Prednisolone could help with my activated killer Cells in the Uterus? And Helps it also for inflammation (cases by cytokines)?

There is no evidence that monitoring Uterine NK cell activity affects pregnancy outcome. There is also no evidence that peripheral NK activity correlates to uterine NK cell activiyt , they may be two different cells and understand that in many cases uterine NK activity is improtant for implanation and no one really understands yet the signficance of these cells in the uterine cavity . with that said I beleive omegaven will do a better job on cytokines as there is more omega 3 activity , not sure how much better they are for NK cells.

Do you think that Omegaven infusions have to be given in the Same Way like Intralipid?
Is it early enough giving the First infusion 4 days before ovulation (=cd 10)
Isn't too Late? Because the First Intralipid infusion is given at cd6!

Rapid onset of action allows giving close to ovulaton with good effect , we ask our patients in Europe to use it same as Intralipids.
