Hello,
I live in Washington state but would be willing to travel and/or work through our current doctors if there is a possiblity that you have testing that has not been done and could possibly give us an answer. We hope and pray that God will allow us to have a big family and we know that that is up to Him but we are hoping he could lead us to a doctor that might have an answer.

I am 29 years old and my husband is 37.We have 2 healthy children together, we are incredibley thankful for! I had to be on progestrone for both of them because my progestrone levels were low. I took it for 14 weeks. In between our 4 and 1 year old I had 3 miscarriges. The first miscarriage was at 19 weeks and was a complete and total shock to us. Everything hade been going perfectly up to that point. It was absolutley devestating. I was induced and gave birth and named her. They told me that these things just happen sometimes. They said she had a knot in her cord. And that it was unlikley to ever happen again. We got pregnant shortly afterwards and I had a Subcronniage hemmorage in the uterus that eventually overtook the baby and sadly we lost him at 9 weeks. I hemmorage through most of that pregnancy. We got pregnant again a few months later and it was a chemical pregnancy. For 6 months I took progestrone supplements for the 2nd half of my cycle and I was unable to conceive. As soon as I went off the progestrone I got pregnant with our now 1 year old daughter, she is a precious miracle (every baby is!) My progestrone level was 22 but they kept me on progestrone for 14 weeks just to be sure. The pregnancy was otherwise normal and she was a healthy beautiful 9.4 pounds. My first daughter was also 9.2 pounds. Then when she was 7 months old we were VERY surprised to get pregnant again. We were of course, excited. My progestrone was only at 15. I took progestrone supplements orally for 13 weeks. The baby seemed perfect and nothing was wrong. They could never get his heartbeat on the doppler but they always saw on it the ultrasound. He was very active. A week after I stopped the progestrone supplements, sadly he passed away in utero. We were shocked and so upset. I also want to mention I was breastfeeding my daughter through the pregnancy, which they told me was ok.

We hope and pray that God will bless us with another child. But I am also frightened of another loss as it is so devestating physically and emotionally. Of course we know that only God can prevent the losses but they tell me that none of my losses are related and that there is absolutley no known reason for any of them. I find this hard to believe. The nurse says, it was just another unfortunate incident. I have a hard time with this. Also I was found to have a slight clotting issue so they put me on baby asprin after my 2nd pregnancy. They said only one gene was mutated. They say that i have had every test that is available and there is no answer. Is it possible that you have testing that they dont? I have had 14-20 tubes of blood taken at a time. I have seen both a OB and a maternal fetal specialist.

I also have been to a reumatolgist because during the most recent pregnancy that we lost at 14 weeks, I was in pain ALL OVER my body. I have always had pain in my joints but this was unbearable. I had a hard time even walking to the park and I was utterly exhasted all the time. I would have good and bad days. The bad days the pain was awful. I actually felt like I had a flu most of the pregnancy. This continued for months after we lost the baby and suddenly let up. It does seem to come back right around the time I ovulate or am about to start my period. I cant help but think its related. My doctor said I have lupus like symptoms but I do NOT have lupus. All my testing is perfect. I am glad for that but I again, cant help but wonder if its related.

If you think you can help us, please reply. Thank you so much and God bless you,
Mary M.

Hi Mary , there are so many things to look at in these type of cases. I am concerned that your symptoms alhtough thankfully not lupus may still hold the clue to your losses and other immune issues show with these symptoms.
I would need to really go over all your testing done to date and most likely would do much of my own. I see cases such as yours on a weekly basis from all over the world. I know I can help you, in fact once youve had a child I feel confident I can get you another, but there is much to be done.
Please call my office and schedule a telephone consult, no need to come to NY at this time. Ask for kim. Prior to the consult please be sure to get me all your testing and fill out the online questionairre, dont despair Ill get you an answer.

Thank you so much for answering my post! I will have to get results from at least 2 doctors offices and then fax them to you as soon as I can. Then I will call Kim and do a consult.
Thank you so much,
Mary M.
