Hi Dr, I wonder if you can help me, I have just finish my 2nd IVF both resulting in negative results, on my first one only had 3 egg collect as they could not get to one of my ovaries, out of 3 2 fertilise and they put them back on day 2, on my second I had 18 folicles even that my MHA is only 5.4 and I am 39 years old, of the 18 we had 6 eggs collected and 100% fertilazation I had 2 embrios put back of top quality one of 8 cell and one morula but again no pregnancy. I got an under active thyroid that is very dificult to control and I was told that I had antibodies from that us well but my Dr never checked on that I am on tablet for my thyroid but nothing for my untibodies, and I heard that that can give problems with implantation ?
Also my husband and I don't have any infertility issues the only reason for OVF is because I was sterilise 8 years ego and I do have 3 children with my ex husband with no problems to get pregnant at all.
Do you think that my problem is implantation? Or my thyroid? Or my age?
Please help me, thank you.

yes they all could play a part. Thryod antibodies can attach directly to the invading embryo and activate the complment system that can lead to failure. Of course age is always an issue but most times not the ONLY issue so all diagnosis must be consdiered and treated. I am available if you should need me.

Thank you Dr. Braverman, on my second IVF my clinic done a test showing that I had antibodies but they didn't do anything about it and for I understand I should of being medicated to prevent another negative result? I am not happy with them and I am going for a revise consultation on Monday do you think is on my rights to ask them for a refund or help with my next cycle ? Or I just move clinics?
Alao I have being thinking if I should have a reversal sterilisation and let nature take it course, do you think I will have a chance of pregnancy doing that?
thank you.
