Hi Dr. Braverman,
I recently received my immunology work up tests (not your full recommended panel that i have discovered) but the abnormal results are:

%CD19+Cell, CD5+ - 11.1%
CD4 - 54.6%
TNF-a-IL-10 - 35.8

LAD - Negative
T cells - IgM - 6.6
T cells - IgG - 8.0
B cells - IgM - 20.8
B cells - IgG - 1.0

I have secondary infertility 1 5 year old son followed by 7 losses in the last year and a half (1st @9w, 2 BO @ 6.5, 5 biochemicals). I found this post of yours ( http://www.preventmiscarriage.com/Discussion-Forum/Questions-for-Dr-Braverman/LAD-.aspx) June 27, 2013 where you said that negative/Low LAD after a normal pregnancy and losses is normal. My main question is is that correct here? I should focus on treating the elevated cytokines etc rather than worrying so much about the low LAD?
Thanks so much,
Megan

correct, I would not worry about low LAD. I think the test has litlle value. Also you do not have enough information here to make any decisions on treatment. The TNF/IL10 ratio is not the correct ratio to look for TH1 activity , that would need to be a INFgamma/IL4. There are many other areas that would need to be looked at for me to give you an opiton on what you should do. I would be happy to help you , you would need to fill out a consult request and we can schedule a free 10 min consult to discuss your case.
