Dear Dr. Braverman,

My "serotonin, serum" level was on the low/borderline level at 27 (reference range 26-165). . Is this something that you would treat regarding recurrant pregnancy loss? If so, what is the typical treatment?

Thank you and blessings to you and your family!

the evidence for serotonin and uterine lining is very sparse. I would say that if your lining has been adequate this is not of concern. You may want to look into accupuncture as this has been shown to raise serotonin levels without the use of medicaitons.
