Hello Dr Braverman.

First I would like to tell you how happy I was with your endo- optimize supplement. I used it during this last IVF treatment and for the first time ever all my eggs (7 - I only have 1 ovary) were mature and we got 5 great quality blastocysts (2 up and 3 in the freezer).

So my story very quickly - I'm 35 and my husband is 39. I have endometriosis and high CD56. We hade 10 failed treatments before finding out about the nk cells. Went on to have our daughter in treatment nr 11 with the help of IVIg and steroids. We are now trying for nr 2. We had a early loss with treatment nr 12 and found out I had low LAD so we went on to have LIT before starting again. I suffered a medical mistake with treatment nr 13 that made me loose my tubes and 1 ovary (internal mass bleeding). We just had our 14th treatment (IVIg and steroids) and we saw 2 sacks in the first scan but only 1 heart beat (7w0d) and I'm now currently having a miscarriage (7w4d) - no heart beat in the scan.

So to my question - I have not been diagnosed with gluten intolerance but after finding out about the nk cells I have been gluten free for 3 months before treatments. With my daughter I started eating gluten again couple of weeks after getting pregnant and I did the same this time around.

How long do you recommend women stay away from gluten when they get pregnant?

I am glad the supplememts have helped improved your egg and embryo quality . But clearly you have other immune issues that now need to be addressed to assist in prevention of pregnancy loss. NK cells and LAD with LIT are not the answer. Feel free to fill out a consult request from our website and we can schedule a free consult to review your case in detail.
