Neupogen and Intrallipids

Hi,

I have been presecribed Neupogen injections and Intralipids by my miscarriage consultant in the UK Dr Gorgy.

I was previously with a different miscarriage consultant who prescribed intralipids and 40mcg Prednisolone. Having had four donor IVF pregnancies (and miscarriages) in row (without steroids), I then did not get pregnant with further donor IVF pregnancies when I was taking steroids.

I am a bit nervous about taking both Neuogpen and Intralipids because I personally believe that the steroids (and intralipids) over-supressed me.

Is there any danger of Neupogen in combination with intralipids over-supressing?

Would appreciate any thoughts or information.

I dont know your case well so I cant comment on your treatment, but we use both the neupogen and IL without over suppression being an issue. I think it is more important hwoever to understand the diagnosis as to the need for these medicaitons so they can be prescribed correctly . You should know both the HLA status of you and your husband and would recommend this prior to another transfer.
Prednisone however is a storng immunosuppressant , still safe, but in combination with IL and over long periods of time this can suppress, your immune parameters should be carefully monitored and as long as all within normal this therapy is also safe.
