I tested positive on the Celiac panel (tTG) & wonder how important it is that I get the biopsy to confirm Celiac, as opposed to going directly to the gluten-free diet for life. Do you agree that the gluten-free diet would be recommended even if the biopsy is negative? My understanding is that it can be only a matter of time before the intestinal damage can occur & also before other autoimmune issues can develop, so the sooner I can eliminate gluten the better.

That being said, is there a recommended time period after eliminating gluten before trying IVF (i.e. 3 months?) and is a follow-up tTG test in the normal range enough to prove that the issue is resolved enough to try for IVF?

Thanks very much.

we have found that once celiac has been diagnosed going gluten free for 2 months has shown significant improvement in our outcomes and cytokine profiles . We have not proceeded to biopsy in these cases.
