Random 2nd trimester loss?

I've been pregnant 7 times:

1: missed miscarriage at 7.5w (normal male fetus by genetic testing)
2: blighted ovum at 8 weeks (trisomy 20 female)
3: blighted ovum at 7 weeks
4: live birth at 39 weeks- healthy female
5: blighted ovum at 6w
6: chemical pregnancy at 6w (PGS normal embryo)
7: 16 week loss of a PGS normal embryo, 12w6d NT scan was perfect

We are obviously shocked at this latest miscarriage- to make it 16 weeks with a seemingly healthy PGS normal baby and then to lose the heartbeat is killing us.

In your opinion, is there any chance that this loss is just a random crappy event that is not linked to my RPL? It's so drastically different from my other miscarriages, which were all very early and we never had a heartbeat with any of them (most of the sacs never even had a fetal pole).

I've been tested for everything under the sun related to recurrent miscarriage- never had any clotting issues that seem to cause later losses. I had slightly elevated NK cell activity and did intralipids prior to IVF and at positive HCG and 8w.

If there's even a chance that this was random, we may try again ourselves. If there's no chance it's random, we will just move on to a surrogate.

What would you view as the causes of 2nd trimester losses?

no this is not random and almost certianly immune in nature. Unless you have had full immune testing and HLA studies you cant really know whether you need surrogacy, and most do not. I would be happy to help you if you would like. You can calla the office and they will schedule a 10 min free consult if you are not local.
