]Hi Dr Braverman
This is Pallavi from India. I have suffered recurrent miscarriages the latest being on 18/12/2010. Of 5 miscarriages except one, all were due to no heartbeat in 8th week, hearbeat was detected in 6-7 weeks but within 15 days or so for next sonography, no hearbeat, embryo shrinks and so miscarriage is detected. In only 1 case there was prolapse in 5th monthinspite of mcdonalds stitch. I have been detected with mosaicism of 46, XX(96%)/47,XXX(4%) PATTERN OF KARYOTYPE. Also note that the pregnancy in 5th month was normal baby with no abnormality. Can we become parents????? I am 31 and my husband 32.

Regards,

Pallavi

With all the early losses even with mosaicism, it is most likely there is another reason for the early losses, especially since your loss at 20 weeks was normal genetics. Your second issue is the loss with the cerclage which may have been caused my multiple D and Cs from your losses. You will do better with a Shirotkar stitch next time. You certainly need a full workup for these early losses both thrombophilic and immune.
