Dr. Braverman,
I saw your discussion board online, and it seemed the most helpful. My husband had a seman anaylis done a couple of weeks ago and it resulted in them finding no seman in his ejaculation. He has had radiation in the past, when he was 15, but the doctor said it shouldn't effect him having a child. He is now 36. He has also been taking androgel for a little over a year now. Could the androgel have any effect on the sperm count? The gynecologist has refered him to a urologist and has told him to stop taking androgel. Also, because there were no sperm in the ejaculation, does that mean he is not producing any sperm at all? Thanks for your help!

The androgel can shut off his sperm production, have him stop if for a couple of months then retest him.
