Urgent Question about Stopping Prednisolone

Dear Dr Braverman,
I hope you are well.
Could you please help me.
I had a negative beta today for my sixth ICSI and have been told by my clinic that I can stop prednisolone immediately without needing to taper. I've been on 40 mg for the last 30 days including this morning.
I am very concerned whether I can just abruptly stop the pill and queried my clinic's nurse but was told that I hadn't been on it long enough to need to taper.
I absolutely hate this drug, have been suffering severe insomnia from it, less than two hours sleep last night and 3 hours average sleep last two weeks. Stopping completely would be totally fine with me but I just want to be certain it is safe to do so.
If I have to taper, is it OK to decrease by 10 mg every 3 days instead of 5 mg every 3 days?
If it is relevant, I have high TH1:TH2 and LAD issues. I am also stopping other medication including neupogen, gestone and clexane.
Many thanks for your kind assistance.

I typically half the dose weekly until at 5mg/ day for one week then stop. I do agree that if only on it for short time you may sometimes stop abruptly , but I never do this and just taper everyone to minimize the chances of symptoms.
Im not sure what LAD means as it is a test with little significance , it sounds like you need to know exacty what you are treating if you are taking all of these medicaitons.

Thank you very much for your swift reply. I have decided to be cautious and taper.
Best regards,
