When treating women with elevated NK cells and anti nuclear antibodies do you start weaning prednisone from 12 weeks gestation? I know pregnant women with immune issues need close monitoring throughout their pregnancy but would you say if a pregnancy has made it to 12 weeks then the pregnancy is in a more "safer" zone in regards to NK cells affecting the pregnancy
thankyou very much

You are making many assumptions that are not substantiated, i.e. that the "NK" clells attach the pregnancy which still no literature has proven and that the ANA is your only issue and also that prednisone is the correct and only treatment for this. So it is impossible for me to tell you a safe time to come off the medication when I really dont have a corrrect diagnosis for you . Some patients have elevated inflammatory serum ctyokines or signs of significant TH1 or even TH2 responses that require longer therapy.
The theroy that velssel development is complete at 12 weeks or sooner is correc and if that is the only basis for stopping the prednisone then that would be correct. You understand that I get these quesitons daily and the biggest problem is that all of the workups that are done are vaslty incomplete and in essence most are simply "guessing" as to the correct immune protocol.. This is not consisant with our method of practice.
