I am not looking for a treatment recommendation as I do understand I cannot rely on any one test result. But I am hoping you might be able to tell me what this result means. I don't have any idea what it shows...

nk assay with IVIG
50:1 E:T 17.8 (normal range 10-40)
25:1 E:T 14.0 (normal range 5-30)
12.5:1 E:T 7.2 (normal range 3-20)T:E 50:1 with IVIG 12.5 12.5
T:E 25:1 with IVIG 12.5 12.4
T:E 50:1 with IVIG 6.5 18.0
T:E 25:1 with IVIG 6.5 13.9
CD3+ (Pan T Cell) 76.3 (normal range 60-85)
CD19+ (B cells) 6.8 (normal range 2.0-12.0)CD56+ 14.6 (normal range 2.0-12.0) HIGH
CD19+/CD5+ 13.2 (normal range 5.0-10.0) HIGH

Thank you

again this testing is very limited so when you ask what does it mean, its hard to say without the full clinical history .

the 19/5 (B-1) cells are only mild elevated no real significance. The NK 1:50 of 17 is again only mildly elevated(also depends on which lab you use as there are differences between labs) . But this is such a small part of the information you need to make any treatment decisions. The IVIG shows how (in the lab) these cells respond to IVIG treatment. I have not found any usefullness for this information as IVIG in the body will react much differently than it does in the lab.

I hope this helps.

If you have a complicated history (which I imagine you must if these tests were ordered) I would be happy to help you . You would need to call my office and they will organize a consult with me.

Good luck.
