Hi Dr. Braverman,
I am currently waiting to do a phone consultation with you in a couple of weeks, but I wanted to know if I am missing an opportune time to test for autoimmune issues related to repeated failed IVFs. I just failed my third IVF. Two grade 5A blastocysts were transfered on August 18th, but I was not pregnant at my beta on Aug 29th. After each of my Embryo transfers I had a flare up of joint pain and arthritis like pain in my hands and wrists. The symptoms seem to reduce and go away after a couple of weeks. It also seems to occur when my husband and I try naturally, although it is more in the noticeable in the IVF cycles.

Also, when is it ideal to begin immune treatment prior to a frozen embryo transfer?

Thank you for your help, and I look forward to speaking with you in a couple of weeks.
Sincerely,
Elizabeth "Anne" Graves

Dr. Braverman

you clearly have an issue and the best time is right at the time of the pregnancy test, but most will still show signs regardless of when the testing is done. I look forward to speaking with you.
