Dr. Braverman:

BENLYSTA is a new drug approved by FDA for lupus or similar ANA positive autoimmune disorders.
I heard it can lower SSA/SSB markers and ANA.

Plaquwnil is another drug rheumatologists like to prescribe because it is not a steriod and won't lower your immune system.

Have you seen these drugs help any infertility patients with autoimmune disorders getting pregnant?

Thanks so much!

no we have not used or had any experience with BENLYSTA but I would expect if it lowers SSA/SSB it would be useful to prevent fetal morbidity during pregnancy. Plaquinil has been used with success in Lupus patients. We have good success with our lupus patients if you are having trouble you should call us for a consult.
