I am 36 years old and have never had conceived. We have been trying for over 5 years and have been seeing an RE for 4 out of those 5 years. I have a history of Stage 3 Endo, which was removed in 2007 and also MTHFR, which I found out about in June 2009. The only assistance we've had over the course of 5 years was with Clomid and Femara and we also did 5 IUI's over this time period. After finding out about the MTHRF, we researched further, thinking maybe I had other immune issues. In October of 2009 we became patients of the Alan E Beer Center and did their extensive blood testing. My only abnormal test was the LAD's, with a result of 13.2. We received our protocol from AEB and went to Mexico for two rounds of LIT, 4 weeks apart. In July, our results showed that LIT worked, raising my level from 13.2 to 62. We were cleared for cycle and decided to try naturally for the first 2 months, then we did an IUI in September. Since then we've been trying on our own with the help of BBT and my CBEFM to help with detecting ovulation. I also take baby aspirin daily, Folgard and vaginal progesterone suppositories after ovulation. We have not had any success since we did LIT. I am not sure where to go from here.....IVF, Surrogate...give up? How much do I want to put my body through? It's been 7 months since we were cleared after LIT. I just had all the basics retested at my OB appt 2 weeks ago..hormones and ovarian reserve because of my age. All came back normal. Would love some advice and ultimately a consult. I just don't know if I should spend the money to redo all the blood tests that AEB wants me to do to retest my LAD's and NK's? Should we go another route?
Thank you for your help....

There is much more to the treatment of infertility issues than just correcting the LAD, (although I do agree with that treatment) each cycle needs to be managed from the beginning, and all must be taken into account when starting a treatment cycle. Please call me and Ill be happy to help you, I know the tests you had performed already and there are only a few more I would need. Then the treatment has to be planned very carefully. Im sure I can help you. Call my office and ask for Kim she will set up a consult for you.

Thank you so much, I will be talking this over with my husband to see when we can travel to set up a consult. We are in Nashville, TN.
AEB was wanting us to retest my LAD's and NK's which is a nice chunk of money to redo these tests. Do you suggest not doing them if we are going to become your patients? You mentioned we'd only need a few more tests with your protocol, so if my other tests from AEB stand current, I'd rather not spend the money on this again and save it for your treatment plan. All my AEB tests were done between Oct 2009 and Feb 2010. Then we redid the LAD test after LIT in July 2010.
Thanks again and I will be calling to set something up and can fax or mail all my records from AEB.

no need to travel for the consult, we usually schedule time for a phone consultation. If thats easier just call Kim and she will arrange. Any monies spent for the consultation will go towards your cycle if you travel to us for the IVF.

I do have two friends in your area and it might be nice to get away! My husband works for Southwest, so we fly free, so that is not an issue, besides the fact we are standby. Either way, I'll get us scheduled via phone or visit:) Thank you!
