Hello Dr. Braverman. Firstly, thank you for your time. I will try to be brief. I have had 2 failed fresh cycles. Pre-cycle testing I had an FSH of 5.2, I don't remember my AMH but it was good as well.

First cycle: Long lupron. Everything looked great during stims. I triggered with an estrogen level of 4,000 and retrieved 12 eggs. Half fertilized, only 3 made it to day five. I transferred 2 B quality (blast and compacting morula). Negative beta.

My RE felt it was an egg quality issue so I started acupuncture, pycnogenol, wheatgrass and CoQ10 to improve. I cycled 4 months later.

Second cycle: Estrogen priming. Everything looked better during stims. I triggered at 4,000 again and this time only retrieved 7 (of 16 follicles showing during ultrasounds). Some follicles were empty and one ovary is hard to reach. All 7 fertilized, all 7 made it to day 5. 6 were normal on 5 probe PGD. I transferred 2 grade A early blasts. Negative beta.

I'm not sure if we should try DHEA to improve my eggs or if we should move on to donor eggs. Do you have any advice?

Thank you in advance for your time.

Kind regards.

Dr. Braverman

This is not an egg quality issue if you made it to 5 blasts, have you had immune and thrombophilia testing? If not, then that is your next step not donor egg. I would be happy to help you with this, please call my office and ask for Kim we can help you.
