Dr. Braverman,

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for approx 20 months with no success. We have already had a consult with you a few months ago, and my husband is still trying to get his testing done that you recommended. In the meantime, someone recommended the supplement Fertilaid to us. After reading reviews, it seems as though women with regular cycles who begin taking the supplement experience irregularity. I do have regular cycles (every 26-28 days) and I am afraid that taking the supplement may cause me to become irregular. Can you share your thoughts? Thanks so much!

its an anti oxidant supplement, as with all supplements they should only be taken when the specific need is proven. If you do not ahve a problem with inflammmation you can reduce your cytokines level too low and cause problems with fertility. so while a safe medication that has uses it should be used only when the need is proven.

Dr. Braverman,

Thank you for your quick reply! I appreciate your willingness to share your knowledge with me and the others on this forum. I think I will hold off on taking the supplement until we are able to meet with you to discuss the results of both of our tests. Like I said, my husband is going to be getting his testing done within the next couple of weeks and then we will be coming in for a follow-up consultation. You have been nothing but wonderful up until this point!!
