ESSI is an Out-of-Network Provider. We work with most Commercial Insurance Plans that offer Out-of-Network Benefits. Our team will verify your Out-of-Network Coverage, help you understand your benefits, and work directly with your insurance carrier regarding reimbursement for your surgical care through our Pilot Program, helping make the process as smooth and supportive as possible.
If your insurance plan is limited to in-network providers, such as an HMO or EPO, or if you do not currently have coverage, we will guide you through our self-pay pathway, the Excellence Program.
This program provides the opportunity to work closely with our senior excisional surgeons in a personalized setting, with a focus on thoughtful care, surgical expertise, and optimal results.

This Program is designed to make surgery with Dr. Vidali more financially accessible for eligible patients.
If you have commercial insurance with out-of-network benefits, you may qualify!
How the Pilot Program Works
Patients approved for this program must have Active Commercial Insurance that includes out-of-network benefits.
To reserve your surgery date and secure your operating-room time, a $250 reservation fee is collected.

ESSI Submits the Claim - All claims are filed directly with your insurance carrier for processing.
More Great Information
In-Network Hospital - Surgeries are performed at an in-network hospital
(with most major plans) by one of our Out-of-Network specialists. Under the Federal No Surprises Act, patients are protected from balance
billing in these situations. This means your claim is generally processed using your in-network hospital benefits,
and you’re only responsible for your plan’s standard deductible, copay, or coinsurance, just as you would be for any in-network care.
Physician Services - The same Federal Protections apply to the surgeon’s professional services.
When your surgery is performed at an In-Network Hospital, your physician’s claim is
also covered under the No Surprises Act, meaning it will typically be processed
according to your In-Network Benefits. You are protected from additional
balance billing beyond your plan’s normal cost-sharing amounts.
Who Is Eligible?
You may qualify if:
You are scheduled (or planning to schedule) surgery with Dr. Vidali
You have active commercial insurance with out-of-network benefits.
Please note: You must maintain your current insurance coverage through the date of surgery. If your insurance lapses or out-of-network benefits are lost before the procedure, the standard surgical fee will apply.
What If You’re Not Eligible?
You Still Have Options!
If you do not have insurance or you have an EPO/HMO Insurance Plan, you still have access to excellent medical care.
You Can Choose To:
Proceed with Dr. Vidali as a Self-Pay Patient for the standard fee of $11,750
Choose to work with one of our Senior Surgeons through the Excellence Program, with a reduced base surgical fee of $7,400.
